THE THIRD ARTICLE
- that Jesus Christ the Son of God, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and of the Virgin Mary and took up not only the body, but the soul of man, and became perfect man, without ceasing to be God;
- that the All-holy Virgin Mary is rightly called the Mother of God, and is higher than all angels and men;
- that the Son of God, Lord Jesus Christ, was incarnate for our sake that He might save us from sin, the curse and death;
- that He did, and continues to save us by His suffering and death, by His teaching, by diving us in His own life the example of all the virtues.
